Stephen Caudill to David Caudill … 140 acres for $5 on Harris Creek of Roaring River. David Caudill now lives on the place.
Witnesses: Thomas Jones (Thomas Joines perhaps?), Elizabeth Walker.
Lewis Caudle Revolutionary War Pension Application.
1. Stephen Dennis Laffoon, son of Matthew Laffoon Sr., attests with Lewis Caudle in Surry Co., NC., that John Caudle Sr., John Caudle Jr., and William Caudle were Revolutionary War veterans. Further, they attest that they were neighbors in Lunenburg Co., VA.
